New Apple TV will launch May 21, says Prosser - TechnW3

That would match the rumored date of the new iPad Pro and iMac.

What you need to know

  • Apple announced its new Apple TV at its Spring Loaded event.
  • Leaker Jon Prosser says the device will launch on May 21 alongside the iPad Pro and iMac.
  • Pre-orders are set to begin on April 30.

Serial Apple leaker Jon Prosser says the new 4K Apple TV will launch on May 21 alongside Apple's new 2021 iPad Pro and the new 2021 iMac.

In a tweet Prosser updated his previous information on the iPad and iMac stating:

Update on this:

iPad Pro launch is May 21st.

The "22nd" date I mentioned is linked to the 5G model for a certain carrier and should be disregarded for the most part.

Apple will also launch the new Apple TV on May 21st.

The specific date given for Apple TV is new and lines up exactly with his date for the iPad Pro, and a recently leaked date from Apple UK reseller John Lewis. From that report:

Official UK Apple reseller John Lewis has revealed that Apple's new 2021 iPad Pro and the new 2021 iMac will both be launched on May 21, echoing a previous date given by leaker Jon Prosser.

As noted by MacRumors, website listings for Apple's newest premium tablet and the redesigned iMac on Johnlewis.com indicate that both devices will be released on May 21.

Apple has previously confirmed that both the new iPad Pro and the new iMac will be available to pre-order on April 30, but had only given "the second half of May" as a timeframe for both shipping and in-store availability. John Lewis' website seems to indicate that the date will be May 21. It echoes a previous report from Jon Prosser noting the same date

Apple had previously given the launch window for the new 4K Apple TV as the second half of May.

Apple announced the new 4K Apple TV featuring its A12 Bionic chip and a brand new remote at its April Spring loaded event. Pre-orders open on April 30.
