October 'potential' release date for Fortnite on GeForce NOW - TechnW3

NVIDIA's director of product management has confirmed that October is the "potential" release date of Fortnite on its cloud gaming platform GeForce NOW.
Last year NVIDIA announced that its cloud gaming service was coming to devices like the iPhone 12 and the iPad Pro through a new web-based client for Safari. At the time, NVIDIA also announced a brand new touch-friendly version of Fortnite for the service that would let players once again play the game on iOS. From the release:
"Alongside the amazing team at Epic Games, we're working to enable a touch-friendly version of Fortnite, which will delay availability of the game. While the GeForce NOW library is best experienced on mobile with a gamepad, touch is how over 100 million Fortnite gamers have built, battled and danced their way to Victory Royale.
We're looking forward to delivering a cloud-streaming Fortnite mobile experience powered by GeForce NOW. Members can look for the game on iOS Safari in the near future."
As you'll note, at the time NVIDIA said the game was coming in the "near future", however during the Epic Games vs Apple trial this week, NVIDIA's Aashish Patel confirmed during cross-examination that October was the "potential date of release" for Fortnite on iOS.
Testifying in the trial, Patel said that it was not NVIDIA's preferred choice to have a web application on iOS instead of a native iOS app, Apple's App Store policies precluding the latter. The same policy, also applied to Microsoft's xCloud service, came under heavy scrutiny during day three of the trial.
