Lovecraft Country creator Misha Green has signed an overall deal with Apple TV+ just days after it was confirmed that the show won't return to HBO for a second season.

According to a Variety report, Green has signed a deal that will see her create content for Apple's streaming service after receiving critical acclaim for her work on Lovecraft Country. The show is eligible for this year's Emmy Awards and already has a Golden Globe nomination to its name.

The deal reunites Green with two other Apple employees, one of which just happens to be the company's head of worldwide video.

The deal with Apple reunites her with Apple's heads of worldwide video Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, who previously ran "Underground" producer Sony Pictures Television, as well as Apple's head of programming Matt Cherniss, who was president and general manager of WGN America and Tribune Studios.

It's likely to be a good long while before we see the fruits of this deal, but it's yet another sign that Apple is more than committed to its Apple TV+ service. More content is appearing almost constantly and some big names are on board for new and returning series, movies, and documentaries.
