What you need to know

  • Apple has launched a redesigned online store.
  • The company has also added a dedicated Store tab to the top menu on its website.

Apple just launched a redesigned online store out of nowhere.

Earlier today, the Apple online store temporarily went down without any known reason. Well, it's back, and Apple has revealed an entirely new online store and a dedicated Store tab on the top menu of the website.

The top of the store features quick links to connect with an Apple Store specialist or to locate the closest physical Apple Store to you. Underneath that, Apple has listed all of its product categories like iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more. If you click into each one of the product categories, you'll be greeted with additional information about that product, the available models, and new sections like 'Ways to Save,' 'Shopping Guides,' 'The Apple Difference,' and more.

The front page of the new store features a number of sections highlighting certain things that are relevant to what the company has going on right now. For instance, the first section, underneath the main menu, is 'The Latest' which shows off the newest products that the company has released.

Underneath that is a section that highlights Apple Support and how you can learn more about your new device. Other sections include 'The Apple Difference,' which explains Apple's value proposition and what the experience is like when buying a product directly through the company. There are also sections that highlight specific products like AirTag or feature Apple's accessories and services.

Apple has also brought back the dedicated Store tab that used to be present on the Apple website.

The rest of the website appears to be the same, divided up into separate sections for Apple's hero products. Each of those sections dives deeper into each product category and the product itself.

It has been a long time since we've seen a major redesign to the Apple online store so this change is a pleasant surprise for everyone who uses the online store to shop and learn about their favorite Apple products.
