Artists can more easily share their Milestones with their fans via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram Stories.
Apple has today outlined a new feature that makes it easier for Apple Music artists to share what it calls Milestones with fans. The posts can be easily shared to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram Stories according to a new page on the Apple website.
According to that page, Apple Music will allow artists to share their "big moments" right from within the Apple Music for Artists app. Apple says it'll take just a few taps, too.
Share your big moments right from the Apple Music for Artists iOS app. With just a few taps you can let your fans know about new playlists featuring your songs, how many Shazams you have in a given country or region, and other notable milestones you've hit on Apple Music.
Sharing Milestones seems to amount to selecting the Milestone they want to share and then selecting the place they want to share it to. Artists can also create custom posts via email and Messages, too.
Stand out with your fans by customizing posts about your milestones. Available via email or Messages, you or your team will receive raw assets that will populate with suggested marketing text, a share link to your content on Apple Music, and three images in different sizes for your team to choose from.
Of course, as cool as this feature is it remains to be seen whether artists will actually use it or not. Lest we forget services like Ping!
