Trainers completed a total of 16 global challenges during Pokémon Go Fest 2021 to gain access to Ultra Unlock part two: Space. Space itself will be distorted as Pokémon from various places appear from Friday, August 6 through Tuesday, August 17 and trainers will have their first chance to catch Shiny Palkia and more! What are Ultra Unlock Bonuses?

As is tradition with Pokémon GO Fest events, Ultra Unlock bonuses are rewards players can earn for everyone by completing challenges. Throughout day one of Pokémon GO Fest 2021, Trainers had over 30 global challenges tied to the Rotating Habitats. Every eight challenges that were completed by players around the world earned one additional Ultra Unlock event week for a total of three events.

Ultra Unlock part two: Space

Ultra Unlock part two: Space is almost here! The event will run from Friday, August 6 through Tuesday, August 17, 2021. The event is mostly focused on Regional Exclusive Pokémon. There will also be new Shiny Pokémon, including the Legendary mascot of Pokémon Pearl and the upcoming Pokémon Shining Pearl, Palkia!

Spawns

The following Pokémon will have increased spawns:

  • Clefairy*
  • Gastly*
  • Duskull*
  • Munna
  • Red-Striped Basculin
  • Blue-Striped Basculin
  • Elgyem
  • Heatmor*
  • Durant*

Eggs

The following Pokémon will be hatching from 7KM Eggs:

  • West Sea Shellos
  • East Sea Shellos
  • Red-Striped Basculin
  • Blue-Striped Basculin
  • Heatmor*
  • Durant*

Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • Unown U* (one star)
  • West Sea Shellos (one star)
  • East Sea Shellos (one star)
  • Elgyem (one star)
  • Espurr (one star)
  • Alakazam (three star)
  • Kangaskhan* (three star)
  • Heracross* (three star)
  • Palkia* (five star)

Timed Research

In the Today View, players will find a five page Timed Research line which will reward encounters with lots of Pokémon, as well as plenty of Poké Balls and Berries to catch them.

Step One

  • Catch ten Pokémon for a Swalot encounter
  • Make five Nice Throws for a Clefairy encounter
  • Transfer five Pokémon for seven Nanab Berries

Completion Rewards: Ten PokéBalls, five Ultra Balls, 484 XP

Step Two

  • Catch ten Pokémon for eight Razz Berries
  • Use five Razz Berries to help catch Pokémon for a Lunatone encounter
  • Use five Nanab Berries to help catch Pokémon for a Solrock encounter

Completion Rewards: Ten Pinap Berries, five Ultra Balls, 484 XP

Step Three

  • Catch ten Pokémon for a Gastly* encounter
  • Make five Great Throws for a Duskull* encounter
  • Make five Nice Throws in a row for a Shuppet* encounter

Completion Rewards: 15 PokéBalls, five Ultra Balls, 484 XP

Step Four

  • Catch 15 Pokémon for six Pinap Berries
  • Make seven Great Curveball Throws for a West Sea Shellos encounter
  • Make seven Nice Curveball Throws in a row for an East Sea Shellos encounter

Completion Rewards: 12 Razz Berries, five Ultra Balls, 484 XP

Step Five

  • Catch six Psychic type Pokémon for an Elgyem encounter
  • Win a Raid for an Espurr encounter
  • Make two Excellent Throws for a Silver Pinap Berry

Completion Rewards: 20 PokéBalls, five Ultra Balls, 3,000 Stardust

Field Research

During the event, players can spin PokéStops and Gyms to collect the following event exclusive Field Research tasks:

  • Make five Curveball Throws for a Lunatone encounter
  • Make seven Great Curveball Throws for a Shellos encounter
  • Spin ten PokéStops or Gyms for ten PokéBalls
  • Transfer five Pokémon for three Pinap Berries
