What you need to know

  • The first season of the Apple TV+ show Foundation is coming to a close.
  • Apple TV+ has shared a new finale trailer ahead of the final episode.

Who's excited?

After spending so long waiting for it to premiere on September 24 it's difficult to believe that Apple TV+ hit Foundation is already seeing its first season come to a close. But here we are, and the streaming service has uploaded a new finale trailer to YouTube to get us all in the mood.

The video, designed to help people catch up on the show ahead of its finale, only runs for 90 seconds but is a good reminder of what's going on in season one. Maybe give it a miss if you haven't caught up yet!

Based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, "Foundation" chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.

Foundation has been eight decades in the making and the first season hasn't disappointed, although it's fair to say that a ton of people will be sad to see it end. The final episode of Foundation season one streams on Apple TV+ on Friday, November 12 and is set to be a big watch for fans everywhere.

The final episode, dubbed "The First Crisis" carries the following description:

On Terminus, Salvor witnesses how powerful the null field has become. Brother Dawn makes a daring choice.
