The Season of Heritage has arrived and with it comes the fifth Incense Day event for Pokémon Go! What is Incense Day in Pokémon Go?
Incense Day is a recurring event in Pokémon Go during which players can use Incense to lure specific Pokémon sharing specific types with one Pokémon as the star of the day. Each hour throughout the course of the event gives access to a one type. This event will focus on Swinub, a Ground and Ice type Pokémon, and each hour will alternate between either Ice or Ground type Pokémon.
When is Incense Day in Pokémon Go?
The next Pokémon Go Incense Day event will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 11AM to 5PM local time.
The schedule will run as follows:
- 11AM: Ice type Pokémon
- Noon: Ground type Pokémon
- 1PM: Ice type Pokémon
- 2PM: Ground type Pokémon
- 3PM: Ice type Pokémon
- 4PM: Ground type Pokémon
What Pokémon will be featured in Incense Day in Pokémon Go?
Although Swinub is the star of this Incense Day, lots of other Ice and Ground types will be featured as well.
During the Ice type hours, players will be able to catch the following Pokémon:
- Seal*
- Jynx*
- Sneasal*
- Swinub*
- Snorunt*
- Snover*
- Galarian Darumaka*
- Vanillite
During the Ground type hours, players will be able to catch the following Pokémon:
- Onix*
- Cubone*
- Rhyhorn*
- Wooper*
- Swinub*
- Phanpy
- Larvitar*
- Barboach*
All Pokémon with the potential to be Shiny are indicated with an asterisk; however, Darumaka and Larvitar will have boosted Shiny rates as well.
Bonuses
Players who fully evolve their Swinub during the event will get Mamoswine with the event exclusive Charged move: Ancient Power. Remember, in addition to 125 Swinub Candy, each Mamoswine also requires a Sinnoh Stone, so be sure to stock up before the event! Players will also be able to purchase a bundle in the PokéShop containing two Incense for just one PokéCoin.
Field Research for Incense Day in Pokémon Go
During the course of the event, players can spin PokéStops to collect event exclusive Field Research tasks.
- Catch five Ice type Pokémon for a Swinub encounter
- Catch five Ground type Pokémon for a Swinub encounter
